Seeking a client Technical Writing Consultant for a 6+ months onsite engagement with a chemical manufacturer in Chicago, IL. This is approximately a six-month contract assignment. Our client is in the process of extensively refinishing a lab with the intent to break into the pharmaceutical industry. The Technical Writer will interview chemists and engineers in order to write SOPs and work instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Write standard operating procedures, work instructions, and forms from scratch, or amend those already in place in conjunction with the author and manager
- Improve existing documentation system to meet the 21CFR 210 standards (already meets ISO 9000 and 22000)
- Work effectively in a team of chemists and engineers, listening carefully to the inputs to documents
- Will work with a QSM system that is Lotus Notes-based
