Seeking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Chicago, IL. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and operating manufacturing systems to keep production costs down, while maintaining the quality of products. Will make recommendations to improve productivity and efficiency of operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Monitor manufacturing performances while improving efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
· Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs
· Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations
· Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
· Implement and maintain special projects associated with existing and future business
· Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow
· Research and make recommendations for new processes, equipment, and workflow
· Promote a work environment that focuses on team effort
· Required to wear all safety protective equipment required by the Corporation and/or the State of Illinois – Department of Labor
