Seeking to hire a Program Manager for a contract opportunity in Rochester Hills, MI. Will function as Project Team Leader and take over the coordination of high-visibility projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Will take over the coordination of projects related to automotive customers (OEM and Tier 1) in North America for key project/program(s)
· Customer Focal Point during the Product Development Process
· Consult the organization in the communication with the customer
· Consult the company in activities to meet the Project Plan and the Customer Expectations
· Report barriers to facilitate management action
· Consult to facilitate win-win scenarios between team members for the overall project benefit
· Consult in activities to achieve the Project Plan requirements for Cost, Quality, and Timing
· Consult in activities to ensure that the Product Development process and procedures are followed and optimized
· Make use of Project Management methodologies
· Execute Project Phase Reviews
· Define and implement necessary Project Management frameworks that are appropriate and needed
· Proactively support/coexist with Project Management teams and frameworks in place (engineering, production, related programs for the same customer)
· Recognize and proactively communicate key topics of risk impacting program status
· Consult the product development team to identify potential risks with the aim to set up appropriate Mitigation or Contingency Plans
· Consult company to receive management support for proactive activities to meet the Project Plan
· Communicate with suppliers to fulfill company expectations for timing, cost, and quality in support of the Project Plan
· Understand and support current Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO), and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures
· The information exchange is typically complex, technical, and confidential. This position requires negotiation with other individuals, departments, suppliers, and customers including internal contacts (BDM, FAE, Product Development, PM, Sales, Plant-Project Management Teams) and external contacts (customers, suppliers, etc.)
