Seeking a highly motivated Research Associate II in the Protein & Cell Engineering group to play a key role in supporting cell engineering pipelines through the molecular cloning of various constructs. In this position, you will be part of a collaborative team involved in the generation and characterization of genetically modified primary immune cells. You will work with fellow scientists and cross-functional teams to advance iPSC-derived T-cell therapy platform. 

Key responsibilities:

Support cell engineering pipelines to generate genetically modified cell lines

  • Molecular cloning of DNA vectors for non-viral gene editing and lentiviral vectors
  • Generation and maintenance of plasmid stocks through plasmid preparation and cataloging of plasmids, oligos, and other cloning reagents

 Support the characterization of genetically modified cells

  • Carry out molecular biology techniques, including PCR and ddPCR, to evaluate outcomes of cell engineering experiments

 Maintain project timelines and report progress regularly to the project team

  • Maintain excellent records of experiments in lab notebooks
  • Drive results in multiple projects through effective planning and organization of work

Other responsibilities as required

  • Present data at group and company meetings and externally as required
  • Support lab operations and equipment purchasing/vendor selection
