Shipping and Receiving Clerk – Billerica, MA

Seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a contract-to-hire opportunity located in Billerica, Massachusetts. Our client is a manufacturer of premium epoxy solutions for optic and microelectronic assembly in aerospace and defense, automotive, electronics, and other industries. Under limited supervision, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for proper and accurate shipment of finished goods per customer orders and/or picking tickets to both domestic and international customers or business partners.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure that the material required to ship has been picked, verified, and has all required regulatory shipping paperwork
• Ensures that all shipping documentation pertinent to the ship to destination is included with the shipment
• Loading/unloading of trucks and deliveries
• Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
• Collaborate with shipping and receiving associates to fulfil customer orders
• Responsible and participate in performing physical and administrative tasks involved in the handling, shipping, receiving, and storage of inventory assets of the company
• Accurate counting and verifying received material as well as material that is shipping
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Knowledge of international shipping procedures/processes preferred
• Knowledge of warehousing and material handling procedures preferred
• Good math skills and proficient computer knowledge (MS Word and Excel)
• Certified shipper a plus
• While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 730am-430pm

Conversion from Contract to Permanent: 6 months

During the contract phase this role qualifies for Messina’s benefit package including PTO accrual from date of hire and health, dental, vision, and unemployment insurance after 30 days of employment. Once converted to a permanent employee will qualify for our client’s comprehensive benefit plan which includes, medical, dental & vision insurance, and PTO.
