POSITION OVERVIEW (office-based in Rosemont, with hybrid remote flexibility; no relocation assistance is being offered)
The Social Listening Analyst is a high-visibility position that will be responsible for utilizing the Synthesio Social Intelligence Workspace to generate insights that will advance the goals of the strategic marketing plan of our client. This position will serve as the Synthesio Product Owner, working with a cross-functional team to ensure the execution of business Use Cases and adoption of the platform.
The preferred candidate is a self-starter, able to influence cross-functional teams, passionate about data and social listening, and eager and willing to learn new technologies.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The core responsibilities of the Social Listening Analyst include:
- Product Owner of the Synthesio platform, establishing consistency and standards across the tool for key social listening processes and workflows
- Drives adoption of the Synthesio platform and serves as an evangelist for the product to the Steering Committee and other potential stakeholders throughout the federation
- Establishing and communicating how social listening, data analytics, and measurement can help defend the reputation of dairy and execute the strategic marketing plan
- Leads the development and documentation of social listening processes and workflows
- Serves as the liaison between our client's business stakeholders and vendors/technical teams to ensure social listening data domains and queries can support strategic objectives
- Owns the Synthesio relationship, including commercial terms, usage, and the management of specialized services
- Oversees the creation of reports and insights to identify the best influencers (paid and unpaid)
- Leads the development and execution of performance measurement plans for our client's social media campaigns
- Leads the development of social listening reports and insights within key topics relevant to the Dairy Industry, including focused content to monitor dairy sentiment and trending
- Briefing strategy, communications, and executive teams on social signals and potential threats/opportunities for the industry
- Creating data-driven proof points for marketing and communications teams
- Assisting with the identification of external datasets to augment social listening data/insights.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems or Computer Science
- 3-5 years experience as a data/business analyst, preferably in a Sales/Marketing environment
- 1-2 years of experience in developing dashboards/insights in Social Listening or Social Media Management tools such as Synthesio (preferred), Meltwater, Brandwatch, etc. OR 2-3 Years of experience in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
- Excellent analytical skills, specifically the ability to problem-solve or support decisions with data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience presenting data-driven analysis to a non-technical audience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data preparation, modeling, and reporting
- Experience in product implementations and training.
